Park and Ride
Park and Ride lots serve to decrease congestion and improve the environment by providing better access to mass transit. On most heavily traveled commuter corridors, one bus can remove 40 automobiles from traffic. To make this possible, convenient parking lots and transit stops must be located near residential neighborhoods. Unfortunately, many communities have not explored the value of Park and Ride facilities, and accordingly, have not embraced Park and Ride as a desirable land use.
The Benefits of Park and Ride Include:
- Improved Customer Service
- Reduced Traffic Congestion
- Economic Development
- Public Goodwill
Synergy's Park and Ride Program has been successful in positioning these facilities as multi-modal Transit Centers that benefit the community. By combining the skills of site location, feasibility, due diligence and negotiations, along with Synergy's Joint Development Program, we have created a solid approach to helping clients optimize the location of the Park and Ride lot, and gain local approval.
